My name is Dr. Esnielle Brooks

I was born and raised in South Africa. In 2007 I graduated from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein. I then worked in rural South Africa for 5 years, as a General Practitioner, and gained valuable experience in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Anesthetics as well as Obstetrics. 

In 2013 I decided to combine my work and love for traveling, and joined the Norwegian Cruise Line as a Senior Physician. Whilst traveling the world, I managed the onboard medical center.

In 2015, my husband and I decided to settle down and make Lacombe, Alberta our new home. I continued to work as a family physician and worked in my Family Practice, Emergency Department, and Hospital as well as doing Obstetrics.

In 2017 life changed dramatically for us, after some personal health concerns. During this process, I learned the importance of treating patients as a whole. Using multiple treatment modalities, and an integrative medicine approach.  As a result, we were blessed with 3 beautiful children.

After many years, and delivering hundreds of babies I decided to give up some of my biggest passions in life, Emergency Medicine as well as Obstetrics, to spend more time with my beautiful family, and to pursue my passion for Women's Health. 

​

I decided to further my education, starting with training in Aesthetic Medicine, which then sparked my interest in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. Through expanding my horizon I have implemented these practices in our lives,  and have personally experienced the benefits of Functional Medicine. 

​

I am currently continuing my education journey through the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine, as well as the Institute for Functional Medicine.
